This afternoon I met up with my friends Mike and his daughter Amy, and we drove downtown to checkout some of the sights of the 24 hour urban bike race called Faster Mustache. A fun and crazy atmosphere with all kinds of people and pets and drinking and bikes, combined to form a fun event based around a 42 hour race in downtown Atlanta.

Autumn and Wes

September 9, 2009

Last night I had the privilege to be a part of an engagement shoot for some friends  Autumn and Wes. I was there to assist my friend and photo mentor Wade Collins. I was only able to get a few shots off due to my main duties of reflector holding and head lighting tech, but I was happy with the overall shoot. To see some of wades final shots click HERE. For now enjoy my samples from the second shooter and a couple behind the scenes grabs as well.

Angela and I drove up to Highlands NC, on Saturday to spend time and check on my father who has just started home dialysis. While there we were able to enjoy two great hikes in perfect weather, and visit with family in Cashiers. Despite the depressing mood around the house we made the best of it and we had a great visit with Dad. This is a real assortment of pictures taken throughout the long weekend.

Mike and Candace at Serenbe

September 5, 2009

I once again joined my, “The Other Megan” photography pals Megan and… Megan for a shoot. This time we were photographing Mike and Candace’s engagement shoot south of Atlanta at the Serenbe community. We met just before the sun started setting which left very little time to shoot with good natural light. We made the best of it and were able to experiment a bit with some of the old barns and other farm-like structures around us. Mike and Candace will be getting married at Serenbe sometime in the next year so we wanted to do it right and hold the session there.
