A Korea Trip Gallery

January 16, 2010

I had put some Korea pictures on my main website Curtis Baker Photography and I thought I would include this small gallery on the blog. These were some of my favorite images from the trip.

Do you have any favorites from this batch?

Angela Baker is High Voltage

January 14, 2010

This is my wife Angela at a new location I wanted to shoot in. She is 20 weeks pregnant with our baby. I dragged her down here to play with my light and test out the new location.

The Ethan Show

January 10, 2010

I had the pleasure of photographing a wonderful four month old named Ethan today. Ethan’s mother and I have been trying to set up a date for this shoot for many months and today we were able to make it happen. Ethan was in a great mood and he gave us his little smiles and big round eyes. My good friend Megan Davidson from “The Other Megan Photography“, was with me to help with the baby talk and rattling of toys. Being the mother of a newborn and a two year old, Megan has a great skill of making children smile, and she also knows how long a baby is happy on his stomach while wearing a funny hat. She is a pleasure to work with and a great photographer herself.

I’ve decided to include a slideshow this time to try something new. Let me know if you prefer photos or like the new slideshow idea.

Zack Arias is a local photographer here in Atlanta, who has made a name for himself through the teachings of his One Light workshops and general teachings of all things exceptable in the new-era of photography. He has a great story about his initial failure as a photographer and then his rise to where he is today. He made a little movie that I often watch to help motivate myself to get off my butt and just shoot a lot and not worry about the little things. I just wanted to share this movie with any and all aspiring photographers out there who read this blog. Even if you don’t own a camera it is a very well done piece that keeps you glued to the screen. Enjoy.

Thats all for now. I have lots to shoot this weekend so I’m sure there will be plenty to look at next week. Enjoy the weekend.
