My good friend Wade Collins has been shooting for Kroger for many years, and yesterday they were holding an event at Spelman College. I was able to come along as a second shooter to help capture everything that was going on. It was an event to celebrate Black History Month in conjunction with a women’s health campaign and the United Negro College Fund. There guest speaker was Laila Ali, former boxer, star of ABC’s hit show “Dancing with Stars”. She may still be best known for being the daughter of boxing legend Muhammad Ali. In no real order, here are some of the photos from yesterday that I liked.

Sunday Brunch

February 14, 2010

To celebrate Valentine’s day, we had some Sunday brunch with James and Laurel. We meet at West Egg in Midtown but there wait was 45 minutes and we were ready to eat. So we drove to Thumbs Up Diner a little further down Marietta St. We enjoyed great food and service with great friends. Happy Valentine’s day everyone.

I woke up early today and headed down to my favorite park to meet up with the Hannahs. There Little boy Liam was sure to be having a good time playing in the three plus inches of snow we got yesterday. I really wanted to capture that youthful excitement. I have never really shot in the snow so this was a learning experience for me as well.
