Today I was lucky to be in the presence of musical greatness. George Hughley with Johnny & The Lakewood 5 featuring Freddy Terrell. is a local band led by front man Johnny McGowan of (Grinder Nova). Along with some other local talent and two veterans from the classic soul / r’n b music scene in Atlanta, George and Freddy, the band recorded two tracks at Bakos Amp Works – “Home of the Ponce De Leon sound”. Each musician took turns laying down their own tracks and the end result was quite impressive. I was asked by Johnny to come photograph history in the making. I had a great time and cant wait to work with this very talented group in the near future.
