St. Barth’s Day 6

March 19, 2010

I really can’t say too many different things from what I said yesterday. We woke up, went for a little walk, and then headed to a new beach on the south side of the island. This seems to be what you do here on vacation. Wake-eat-beach-swim-eat-nap-swim (pool)-eat-sleep. The weather was nice and breezy today, the past few days have been so hot. Tomorrow for my last day here on the island I will doing a little scuba diving, this will be my second dive ever. Too bad I didn’t bring the very expensive Nikon underwater housing for my camera.

St. Barth Day 5

March 18, 2010

Today was not much different from the past few days. I slept in a little bit which was nice, then lounged on the patio for a while while Ethan napped. Once the little guy was awake and fed, we headed down to St. Jean Beach which butted up to the small scary St. Barth’s Airport’s runway. We swam and watched a couple planes land, and then had an amazing lunch while sitting by the blue ocean.

St. Barth’s Day 4

March 17, 2010

Another early morning today. I guess when the roosters start crowing, Ethan wakes up, and then everyone else wakes up. But there is something nice about watching the sunrise and sunset in the same day. After a quick breakfast, three of us walked down the steep mountain road to the local bakery for a bread refill. Later we gathered everyone, minus Mom, (flew home early for a meeting), and drove to Shell Beach. There we had a fantastic lunch by the water, and watched all types of people come and go. When we returned, Page and I drove down to watch planes land at the St. Barth’s airport. Now dinner is cooking and we plan on a nice quiet evening around this fantastic house.

Day three here on the island was another quiet day, with one trip to the beach around 11:30 for a wonderful lunch and swimming. We all returned home after a few hours down by the sea to let little Ethan Nap and everyone else to do some reading and relaxing in the shade. For our dinner we drove about ten minutes to the other side of the island for another fine meal at an Italian Restaurant. The food and wine was great, but there was no air flow inside the “outdoor” building so I sweat while I ate. Home now and ready for some sleep. Sorry to be so short with the writings but my bed is calling.
