Zac Brown Band on New Years Eve

I had the amazing opportunity to get an all access pass to follow and photograph the Zac Brown Band, during their show here in Atlanta on New Years Eve. The concert was held at Phillips Arena, downtown in a sold out venue, which adds an extra energy. All of the other artist who preform under Zac Brown’s record label (Southern Ground Records) had a chance to preform before Zac came out to rock the house down. All the openers were fantastic, The Wood Brother, Sonia Leigh, and Levi Lowery, just to name a few. The crowd was well warmed up by the time Zac came out to put on a great show. He played up until Midnight, when he did a countdown in front of a big screen with the NYC ball drop. After the confetti finished falling from the ceiling, Zac continued to play a handful of songs. They finished on a loud, high energy note playing Rage Against the Machine’s, “Killing in The Name Of” It was a great show, with an amazing atmosphere. Here are just a few images from that night. Atlanta Children’s Museum

Lily and I joined our friends Nancy and little Somi at the Imagine It, Children’s Museum in downtown Atlanta. The kids had a blast while we the parents ran around behind them keeping them safe and dry. After a couple hours of playing and running we headed over to West Egg cafe for some tasty lunch. It was a great day getting out of the house and wearing out these little ladies.

The Fabulous Fowler Family

The Fowler family is full of love and tons of fun to be around, I work with both of them when I do stuff with the movies, so we’ve known each other for a couple of years. I was honored to be invited into their lives to document a fun day at their house and then a walk in the woods. The coordinating outfits and fun shoe sock combos made it a fun and colorful shoot. Thanks again for having me and Merry Christmas to you all. Never stop being that in love.

Here is Lily with our newest camera in the family, a 1964ish Polaroid Automatic Land Camera. I didn’t tell her to put up to her eye. And notice the tshirt we bought for her in NYC, that is purely coincidence.

Occupy Wall Street #OWS #NYC

While in New York City last week, I took a moment to visit the protesters in Zuccotti Park in Downtown Manhattan. The people in the park have been in protest for about 43 days now and don’t seem to be weakening. There was a march through the streets right after I took some of these pictures. The march went all over town with police shutting down streets to protect the protesters. I wanted to spend more time talking to the people but Angela and I were on a tight schedule, and had to be across town for dinner plans. The Atlanta Botanical Gardens

We took a little late evening family trip to the Atlanta Botanical Gardens this week and Lily loved it. We ran out of time and light but we will return soon.

15 Month Checkup

Lily had her 15 month check up today, which came with three big shots. She cried for about 30 seconds and then recovered fine back to her happy self. Doctor says she is still perfect in every way, DUH!
