Lily is Approaching Six Months

November 26, 2010

It’s been a while since I did a post on my own daughter Lily.  I have hundreds and hundreds of photos of her, documenting her growth and mile stones. She most recently began sitting up on her own and we also started some “solid” food. Sitting up will open up so many possibilities for crazy photos, I can’t wait. So i’m sure I will have thousands more photos over the next month of her is some wacky places and situations. Here are just a few images that stood out to me in one way or another over the past couple of months.

I’ve always wanted to do a “day in the life” photos shoot with a family. I want to be challenged by changing locations, changing light, and having to deal with a three year old boy who is always on. Speaking of three year old boys… The Hannah Family who are good friends of mine from my side of town told me they wanted a non-traditional family photo session. We got in the car and headed across town into Decatur to see some of it’s hot spots and small town flair. Our lunch at the Brick Store Pub and desert at The Yogurt Tap made it a fantastic family outing. Thanks a ton guys, for letting me follow you around for the day.

Ethan at 14 Months

November 8, 2010

My little buddy Ethan turned one a couple months ago so once again, it was time to do some shooting. I have been documenting his grown at four months, eight months and then now at fourteen months. It’s so nice to see a child change in front of my camera and be able to look back to see where our friendship started. I asked Ethan’s parents to meet me at the Cobb Fire Station 4 where i have a friend who is a fireman. I figured a little boy would love to see some big red trucks and real firemen, which he did. Then we headed out to find some railroad tracks and finish up at a playground where he could relax and play a little bit and just be himself.

Halloween 2010

November 2, 2010

It was Lily’s first halloween so we decided to join our friends in the Whittier Mill neighborhood for some good old fashioned trick-or-treating. It was a great night for the kids and their sticky faces.
