Lily is Almost One

May 23, 2011

My sweet little baby is now 30 inches tall and sprinting around the house. Babbling non-stop with the occasional recognizable  ”Hello” and “Daddy”. It has been a fast year but an incredibly fun one. Lily is my little buddy and we do things together during the day while Mom is at work. Family time is even better when we go out on the town as a small family of three. She is such an all around great kid. Good eater, good sleeper, and she is developing an awesome sense of humor. When I play anything by Katy Perry or Black Eyed Peas, she shows off her weird contorted dance moves that she choreographed herself. When she was a tiny baby we had hard days and weeks and don’t miss much of that. I do miss her falling asleep in my arms, but the trade off is a walking talking little human who smiles and laughs with/at me. She’s beautiful and special and fun to watch.

Laura and Tom Engaged

March 1, 2011

My long time friend from the high school days got engaged recently and I couldn’t be happier for her. I drove Laura to school when I was 17 and she was about 12 or 13, we had a great time back in those days, singing along to The Fugees, No Doubt, and Cake, and have remained friends for over  14 years. She and Tom are a great match for each other and I look forward to the wedding this summer in Linnville N.C. I love her like my little sister, and wish them the best of luck in the coming years of marriage.

Eliza Mae Turns 1

January 23, 2011

You may remember Eliza from her newborn shoot just over a year ago. Her first year of life has been a good one, and although her official birthday was held in in Pennsylvania, while on vacation, the family wanted to get some traditional “baby- demolishes -cupcake” shots at their home here in Atlanta. Eliza has the best blue eyes that sparkle in almost any light. I’m glad to be a part of this little girl’s life, and I look forward to the friendship between Eliza and my daughter Lily. Happy birthday Eliza
