Monkey See Monkey Do

Here is Lily with our newest camera in the family, a 1964ish Polaroid Automatic Land Camera. I didn’t tell her to put up to her eye. And notice the tshirt we bought for her in NYC, that is purely coincidence.

Happy 90th Mary Lynn

March 14, 2011

Happy 90th birthday to my Great Aunt, Mary Lynn Morgan.  My mother threw an amazing birthday bash for Mary Lynn at her house. She invited close friends and family including to very accomplished musical friends, Pianist William Ransom, and opera singer Jason Hardy who really preformed some amazing stuff. We had awesome dinner with lots of fantastic wine, and some great conversations with new friends and old. It was great to see everyone and celebrate 90 years of an amazing woman.

My Baby Turns Four Months

September 23, 2010

People told me time would fly, and they were right. I don’t miss the days of the tiny newborn baby, which included sleepless night and scary days. Everything was so new and I was worried if I was going to have a mental breakdown. But now four months later, I am spending almost all day with Lily during the week as a stay at home dad. “Daddy Daycare” is in full effect since my wife has gone back to work. At first it was rough, she wasn’t taking the bottle and she didn’t want to nap for more then 20 minutes at a time. I’m a few weeks into it now and it’s not so bad, we take father daughter field trip everyday, long walks in the evening to tire the family out. She takes the bottle with no problems and she spends most of her time smiling at herself or laughing at me. She is a real joy to be around, and I’m not just saying that. She really is a happy go- lucky baby and I’m lucky she’s ours.
